With over 16 years professional experience and training in Schools & Colleges, I offer expert tuition in a vast amount of musical styles.
Lessons can be tailored for the academically inclined, professionals, or just for those wishing to have fun! I've taught people of all ages and abilities - from 5 years old to 70 years old, from beginners to working professionals. It's never 'too late' to learn.
GUITAR LESSONS
My pupils have a 100% pass rate at ABRSM, TRINITY, ROCKSCHOOL (RSL) over the past 13 years. I also prepare pupils for GCSE Music and A2 Music. Many of my pupils have gone on to study at University, and some have even gone on to tour Worldwide.
COMPOSITION & THEORY LESSONS
Learn how to compose and arrange songs in any contemporary genre, or learn new compositional tricks within your current genre.
I have composed professionally for a few years and my work is heard on Television and Film globally!
MUSIC TECH LESSONS
Working from Cubase, Studio One, or Logic. I offer Beginner to Intermediate lessons based on the Rockschool Syllabus.
I've been a Cubase user for over 20 years, but due to circumstance, I have now started using more DAWS!
Music lessons take place in my fully equipped Home Music Studio in Great Horkesley, Colchester, Essex. It overlooks the road and a lovely field. There's also plenty of parking available and a lovely pub just around the corner. Located just off the main road within very easy reach of the North of Colchester (but missing the traffic), including Highwoods, Boxted and Nayland.
I teach many instruments including: Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Classical Guitar, Bass Guitar, Ukulele.

About Me
I love working in the field of music and I've been a full time professional musician for over 13 years.
I have the pleasure of teaching Electric, Classical & Acoustic Guitar in some of the UK's leading Schools, Colleges & Institutions in Essex since 2005. These include:

..an excellent way of breaking down the song and one of the first really good explanations of how to develop improvisational skills that I've seen. Most teachers are bad for saying ''just look at the chord and use the appropriate scales and arpeggios'', or ''dude, it's just doing it, just make stuff up''. You've broken it down very well.

Geoff is a fantastic teacher who managed to make even my extremely shy daughter comfortable from the first lesson. His simple teaching methods have taken her from almost no guitar playing experience to Grade 5 (Merit) in just a year, and taught her about styles of music she would never have considered before. I am a senior person who has been taking guitar lessons with Geoff. Although I am not an outright beginner, I am in need a lot of input.
Geoff has made the lesson fun and instructive. He has used many techniques to improve my playing and is also interested in my thoughts about where I would like to go. He uses very good materials for his tutoring, which both reinforce and stretch my playing.
He is friendly, very knowledgeable and also incredibly versatile as a musician.
I would very highly recommend him as a tutor for any level of player.
